John Pilley (LLB, Dip. Comm.Law, FIAMA) has over 45 years of experience as a lawyer, is a member of the Standards Australia MB/10 committee amongst others, is the author of numerous publications including the users guides to a number of standard form contracts and has conducted over 200 contract administration training courses on General Conditions of Contract AS2124 and AS4000 around Australia.

John is an acknowledged expert in the drafting and review of construction contract conditions for clients, builders and subcontractors and he and Alex McKellar both provide a quick turnaround service in the preparation of, or advice on, contract and tender conditions for their clients.

John is also national Executive Director of the major national subcontractor group Construction Industry Engineering Services Group Ltd (previously BISCOA Ltd). 

John also lectures in construction law at Melbourne University and is a member of the Melbourne University Construction Law Advisory Board.
