Jonathan Italiano (LLB(Hons), BA(Hons)), acts for both employers and employees on employment related issues.

Jonathan's workplace relations experience includes acting for and preparation of documents and advice on a range of matters including:

• termination of employment;
• dispute resolution between employers and employees (unions);
• industrial relations action;
• enterprise agreements;
• interpretation of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 and the Fair Work Act 2009 as they relate to clients' particular concerns surrounding:  conditions of employment, rights of entry, industrial action, dispute resolution, employer obligations and the implementation of business strategies;
• employment contracts;
• general employment taxation and superannuation enquiries;
• OHS risk and compliance.  Investigation into serious injury on site, providing advice to protect the site to ensure compliance and protect the business.  Advice, research and preparation for a separate County Court matter involving a workplace fatality;
• general workplace queries as they arise;
• preparation of workplace law training in: equal opportunity, discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying, OHS responsibilities for employers, summary of changes brought about by the Fair Work Act, how to counsel and discipline employees, the effective use of company policy and procedure;
• reviewing workplace policies and procedures and employment contacts.
