Peter Andrew (BEc, DipEd, LLB, LLM ), acts for large and small employers in both the commercial and not for profit sectors. He also acts for individuals on employment related issues.

Peter's workplace relations experience includes:

  • Conducting unfair dismissal litigation on behalf of businesses and individuals in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, including conciliations, arbitrations and appeals to the full bench of the Commission
  • Conducting unfair dismissal litigation in interstate tribunals, including South Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania
  • Conducting employment litigation in superior courts including the County Court of Victoria, Federal Court of Australia and the Industrial Court of New South Wales
  • Advising generally on workplace relations issues including:
    - negotiation of executive terminations
    - drafting of employment agreements, Australian workplace agreements and contractor agreements
    - leave entitlements including annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave and long service leave
    - impact of workplace relations laws on business
    - termination and redundancy
    - workplace procedures, including drafting of policies
    - transmission of business, particularly in relation to sale of business
    - restraint of trade
    - protection of intellectual property and other confidential information
    - employee discipline and performance evaluation.
  • Advising on issues in relation to Occupational Health & Safety, including drafting of Occupational Health & Safety Policies.

Peter has also written on workplace relations issues and presented seminars on workplace relations law and occupational health & safety law.
