Seasonal Clerks

Put theory into practice

Each year we invite law students to spend part of their mid-year and end of year semester break with us. Our clerkship program extends over a period of three weeks at the end of year and mid-semester breaks.  The program gives you the opportunity to put what you have been learning at uni into practice and to find out if the working environment at Moores Legal is for you. To give you an accurate snapshot of life as a lawyer at Moores Legal, you will be placed in one of the following practice groups during the program:

Learn and develop

As a seasonal clerk you will participate in an induction program designed to introduce you to what we are all about at Moores Legal - our culture, our people, our offices, our areas of expertise - as well as to give you the necessary system skills and knowledge to enable you to "dive into the deep end" of legal practice. Once in your practice group, you will be assigned a buddy to help you settle in and become part of the team. With the support of your buddy and your workgroup leader you will be actively involved in day-to-day professional activities such as conducting legal research, drafting documents, attending group meetings as well as client conferences and court proceedings with other lawyers. Our principals, lawyers and support staff are there for you and take the time to share their knowledge and guide you in the right direction.
