• Determining the liabilities of the estate
• Making appropriate decisions about the care of the deceased's pets
• Removing the deceased's name from the electoral roll
• Contacting financial institutions, including Centrelink
• Advising on the tax implications of death
• Arranging preparation of tax returns for the deceased and the estate
• Tidying up and preparing real estate for sale (including choice of agent)
• Attending to the transfer, redemption and distribution of estate assets
• Applying for Executor's commission
• Preparing final estate administration accounts
• Applications to the Court (where necessary) to obtain interpretation of Wills or for rectifying the administration e.g. CY PRES, removal of Executors, etc.
